An Accent for the Silly

Question of the day:

When they are feeling particularly silly, do you think Brits affect an American accent?

And if not…why not?

Allison is an aspiring author, and a lover of words, music, and the Lord Jesus Christ. She is also abysmal at these “about you” things, being unable to think of quirky characteristics at the drop of a hat. However, she enjoys singing randomly and loudly, and laughing hysterically while being caught in the rain.

If I ever run into a person from England, I will have to ask this question. 🙂

  2. It’s a deal. Whoever meets a Brit, or goes to England first, must report back to the American world this most pressing question’s answer. 😉

I always wanted to know this…or any other country. Like we’ll randomly say, “Adios.” Do Spanish people randomly good “See ya!”

    • Exactly! This may have to become a full-blown experiment. Find a millionaire, convince him that this is a cultural exchange sort of thing, and travel around the world, asking this all-important question. 😀

  4. Haha, a very good question. I’m sure that they must! Besides, America has a variety of really distinctive accents (a bit like G. Britain) that would surely be fun to mimic.

I will ask my Brit friends this question immediately.
