“Without music, life would be a mistake.” ~ Friedrich Nietzsche

“Next to God, the noble art of music is the greatest treasure in the world.” ~ Martin Luther

About loverofwords20

Allison is an aspiring author, and a lover of words, music, and the Lord Jesus Christ. She is also abysmal at these “about you” things, being unable to think of quirky characteristics at the drop of a hat. However, she enjoys singing randomly and loudly, and laughing hysterically while being caught in the rain.

How strange- that these two would ever be quoted together!

    • Study in contrast, eh? 😉 Seriously, I like the quotes by both of these men, but only one do I respect. However, sometimes I think blinded men can stumble upon little glimmers of truth, and love of good music is definitely a gift from God, that can be appreciated by all men. Certainly something for me to ponder though – Nietzsche simply said life would be a mistake. Luther put it in its’ proper perspective so well…as a gift from God. Thanks for pointing out the vast contrast…honestly didn’t think about it til now. 🙂

A contrast indeed. Love this- “I like the quotes by both of these men, but only one do I respect. However, sometimes I think blinded men can stumble upon little glimmers of truth, and love of good music is definitely a gift from God, that can be appreciated by all men” So True!!!
